For the most part, is a very casual experience compared to games like,. The game is extremely fast-paced, and gives you enough health (and a helpful NPC ally) to survive most encounters without breaking a sweat.

Even the bosses can be taken down without too many attempts if you fully use your helper. If you’re not too aggressive, your little helper can wreck bosses all by themselves. That all changes when you encounter the Cannoneer and the Blade Bearer — a pair of late-game bosses you’ll have to fight together. These guys are like the Ornstein and Smough of — they’re immediately much more difficult than previous fights, and for many players, probably an instant roadblock. But like any good boss, these creeps have a weakness. It’s possible to defeat them, and to defeat them easily, with the right skill combinations.
You might need to grind to unlock the proper defenses, but these guys can go from impossible to manageable with the right character build.More Code Vein guides:.How To Beat Cannoneer & Blade Bearer, The Hardest Boss Duo In The GameCannoneer and Blade Bearer bring down a deadly barrage of fire-and-ice elemental attacks on you and your ally. They appear pretty far into the game, and their simultaneous assault is going to wreck any unprepared vampire.
Code Vein is a good title on which we had an enjoyable time. However, we just hope that the follow-up content will be more effective, and that the developers will be able to push essential patches to correct its defects. Sep 26, 2019 In Code Vein, Vestiges are used to unlock special abilities on unique skill trees. However, unlike a lot of unlocks in the game, these items are mostly found just lying on the ground — often hidden in the world. The best way to find them is by listening for strange voices. Every Vestige whispers strange tidbits about side stories you can view.
The Cannoneer naturally shoots fire from far away while the Blade Bearer gets up-close-and-personal with ice-based attacks. To make this battle MUCH easier, you’ll want to bring an ally and equip specific skills. Boss Battle Prep:. Bring Yakumo. He’ll tank attacks and distract one of the bosses — usually the Cannoneer.
Then you can focus on the Blade Bearer. Equip two specific skills — ICE ARMOR and FIRE PROTECTION. Ice Armor is an Artemis Class skill. Fire Protection is a Dark Knight Class skill.Alternatively, you can unlock and use the Fire Weapon Cartridge Blood Art to deal more damage to the Blade Bearer and defeat her faster, but your ally will be more vulnerable and will probably go down.Just use the Ice Armor & Fire Protection before the fight, and keep re-upping the buff during the fight. You’ll take a fraction of the damage from boss bosses, and Yakumo will have a much better chance of surviving.
Once you’re prepared, the fight is much easier. Two-handed weapons are some of the best in the game — they’re crazy-powerful, and the slow roll still gives you a ton of invincibility frames to avoid taking damage from huge swipe attacks. Don’t discount those slow rolls! When fighting, watch out for his volcanic geiser attack. The Cannoneer can, at any time, summon fire at your feet that explodes upwards. Just start rolling when it appears — it can happen a lot, so time your healing until after he’s pulled one of these attacks out.The Blade Bearer is usually rushing into melee range, so you’ll be dealing with her more often. She’s similar to most of the melee-focused bosses and enemies in this game. She’ll lunge forward, try to hit you with a 3-attack combo, and can summon explosive ice pillars.

Take her down first, then the Cannoneer is a total joke.

And That's a Good Thing. To those who are turned off of this game by people always comparing it to Dark Souls/Bloodborne, you should know that that's an accurate but misleading comparison. This game does play a lot like DS, but is Nowhere near as rage inducingly hard, Has much better Hitbox Detection and is generally a very fun game.
A more accurate description would be 'Dark Souls: Anime Edition (Now With 70% Less.!). This Game also has great character customization, a Decent variety of playstyles, and FREAKIN' HALBERDS! My only complaint is that it can be pretty confusing sometimes when it comes to organizing things, plus there's a friendship system that, while useful, feels kinda shoehorned in. All together its a great game and I recommend it if you want a challenge, but dont want a reason to kill yourself.(can you tell that I don't like Dark Souls?). Submitted on 2/22/2020 Review title of WalrusKing7Who thought that the Invading Executioner was good?As someone who has played all the Dark Souls games, this product is amazing.
The customization is very in depth, gameplay loop and exploration works well, boss fights aren't very good from the 3 hours I've wasted trying to kill the Invading Executioner. This review is coming from a currently incomplete run of Code Vein and Invading Executioner makes me want to die. Bad camera angle? Inconsistent movest? Spammable one hit kill attack with a broken hitbox so bad you literally get killed by droplets of water? In all seriousness, CODE: Vein is definitely a great souls-like weeb game.
My problem is the Incoming Executioner, my only viable strategy is to flinch her out of being able to do anything. It almost worked until she turned into the Silver Surfer clapping my cheeks like drums.
The stars have to align for this to work and I want the pain and suffering to end please God why did Karen take the kids. Submitted on 1/18/2020 Review title of Xerxes IXXThis game is so good I rated it a 1 star out of rage, was about to uninstall and throw my controller and smash my head through a wall when I got to the duo screaming and calling the game BS and unfair when in reality there were two abilities that made the fight MUCH more fair. It's pretty funny how much I struggled in this game compared to Darksouls 3, hell no other boss in the Souls series made my blood boil as much as some of the bosses in this game besides Sinh from DS2 and Fume Knight. So in short if you want to be challenged and fight through a world of despair and anguish then pick this game up.
Also if you're a total masochist or you're one of the people calling this game easy don't use a companion for an entire playthrough and check to see if you've gone hollow, Skeleton.
